Swallow with Love Letter Hanging decoration

I love making hanging decorations as they are as if some of my illustrated elements have just flown out of my illustrations to have a life of their own.

I use my painted collage, hand-printed artwork style for these, carried out on thick Bockingford Watercolour card. There are two layers with a ribbon and bead hanger. I double varnish each side and the edges so they are waterproof.

Inside use only.

This design is 15cm long and 9cm wide. It is painted in dark blue paint on the back with my artists signature in white. The swallow is carrying a letter with two kisses on it in its beak.

I often use swallows in my artworks, they are a symbol of flying home for me, and also just wonderful creatures. These come in a biodegradable cello back with special printed gift and information card.
