This greetings card on 350gms silk card depicts a vibrant yellow sun with the words 'I am my sunshine' around its smiling face.
I got the idea by twisting the lyrics of the song 'You are my sunshine' to the first person. It is a way to celebrate being enough for yourself (maybe not all the time, but definitely as a goal for self-regulation and inner calm.
It came about as a drawing in my illustration sketchbook while in a cafe. I drew it at the end of winter 2022 so I probably felt a bit of need of sunshine, and decided to create my own!
