Art Story Book 'Lost and Found'

£13.00

I wrote and illustrated this story book in response to the Folktale Week 2023 prompt challenge on Instagram, whose prompts were LOST, INK, SEA, SLEEP, UNDERGROUND, ILLUSION AND FOUND.

. I chose to tell a story of dislocation, connection and remembrance inspired by finding lost relatives from Ireland in the 1800s, on my mother’s side of the family.

I’m very interested in what connects us as humans to each other, be it as family, friends or in other ways, and to our known and discovered pasts and specific places and locations.

It was a wonderful story for me to tell and I wanted to set it down as a story in print, which is what you find here.

I hope it provokes questions in the reader about what unearthing lost things might mean to them too, and of how it is important to honour our family bonds, however far in the past they are.

Price includes the book, a card (pictured in last photo here) and UK Postage.
